Pricing · Dublin, Ireland

Before comparing prices,
know what you're paying now

Most businesses considering a 3PL don't have a clear picture of what their current fulfilment actually costs. That number matters — because without it, any quote you receive is just a figure with no frame of reference.

💡 Work out your current weekly fulfilment cost using the tool below. At the end, we'll tell you honestly whether Nexship is likely to help, might help, or probably isn't the right fit yet.
Your Current Cost
What is your fulfilment costing you right now?

Fill in what you know. Estimates are fine — the point is to get a realistic picture of what you're currently spending, not a precise accounting exercise.

How 3PL Pricing Works
What you're comparing against

When you get a quote from a 3PL, it covers three things. Understanding how each is charged helps you compare accurately.

01

Storage

Charged weekly per pallet position based on actual space used. No lease, no fixed monthly commitment — you pay for what your stock occupies.

  • Pallet positions vs shelf space — different rates
  • Goods-in fee applies when stock is received and put away
  • The more predictable your stock levels, the easier it is to plan
⚠️ Providers often quote "per pallet" but loose boxes get palletised on arrival — at their rate. Always clarify how your stock actually arrives.
02

Pick & Pack

Charged per order — covering the labour of picking items, packing them to your specification, and preparing for dispatch.

  • Typically a flat rate for standard orders up to 3 items
  • Additional items beyond that carry a small per-item charge
  • Kitting, bundles, and inserts quoted separately
⚠️ "One item" to you can mean multiple SKUs at fulfilment. Quote based on how your orders actually look — not how you describe them.
03

Shipping

Because a 3PL ships across many clients, your shipping cost should be lower than anything you could negotiate individually with a carrier.

  • Rates vary by destination — Ireland, UK, and EU all differ
  • Return labels and returns processing are separate charges
  • Fuel surcharges apply and vary — always check what's included
⚠️ Always confirm whether the quoted rate includes fuel surcharges. These vary and are not always visible in a headline figure.

Common Questions
Pricing questions — answered plainly
If you don't see your question here, just ask us.
Why don't you just publish your rates?
Because a rate on a page has no context. A client with 400 simple single-item orders has a very different cost profile to one with 80 complex multi-SKU orders — and quoting the same headline figure to both would mislead one of them. We'd rather understand your operation and give you an accurate number than publish something that looks simple but doesn't reflect reality. The tool above is designed to help you arrive at that conversation with your own numbers already in hand.
My stock arrives in boxes — how does that affect storage pricing?
Most stock that arrives as loose boxes is palletised once it's in the warehouse. We charge per pallet position regardless of how it arrived — so if your boxes fill two pallets, you're charged for two pallet positions. What matters is the volume of space your stock occupies, not how it arrived. We'll confirm this accurately when we quote you.
Are returns included in the pick & pack rate?
No — returns processing is charged separately. This covers receiving the return, inspecting the item, updating your inventory, and restocking or flagging it. Return labels are also charged per label. This keeps your standard fulfilment rate clean and means you only pay for returns handling when it happens.
Will I get one monthly invoice?
Yes. One consolidated monthly invoice covering storage, pick & pack, shipping, and any separately charged services. No surprises — one clear bill with a full breakdown.
What's the minimum volume to make 3PL worthwhile?
Full 3PL fulfilment typically makes economic sense from around 100 orders per month. Below that, the per-unit cost may not justify the move — and we'll tell you that honestly. If you're not there yet, our shipping label service is often a better starting point.
Does pricing change as my volume grows?
Yes. Higher order volumes attract a lower per-order rate, and higher storage volumes carry a better per-pallet rate at significant scale. Growing with one 3PL partner over time is generally more cost-effective than switching — and we structure our pricing to reflect that.
